Application of fertilizer granulator KHL-800

The following materials could be turned into both ball shape organic fertilizer granules and cylindrical fertilizer pellets in uniform diameter by the Ring die system granulator KHL-800.

1) Agricultural waste: straw, rice bran, grass, dregs of beans, cotton dregs, etc.

7 Advantages of Ring die granulator KHL-800

There are many kinds of granulator to make organic fertilizer granules, such as Disc pan granulator, Rotary drum granulation machine, Double roller granulating machine, etc. But Ring die Granulator machine is becoming more and more popular. Why?
That’s because the Ring die Granulator has the following 7 advantages.

1) High rate of Finished product. More than 90%.
Granulation rate of ring die granulator can reach as high as 100%, all the raw material can be made into granules or pellets, and the pellet rate of final product is more than 90%. One-time production of uniform granules, few returning materials.
For example, suppose the hole size of the ring die is 4 mm, at least 90% of the final granules would be in diameter 3.5-4.5 mm.

2)  Uniform granules, Narrow particle size distribution.
The granules are forced extrusion from the holes in the ring die, and the holes size is same, so the granules are uniform with same diameter.
The diameter of granules can be controlled easily by changing the ring die with different hole size. It can be tailored according to your request.

3) Granules are of good hardness, strong enough for packaging.
The granules could keep the shape during storage and transportation, won't collapse, that's because the granulator machine has a good compression capacity.

4) Easy operation and maintenance.
The labour do not need skill or experience. What only need to do is to adjust the moisture content of raw material before granulation process.

5）No binder needed, making pure organic fertilizer granules.
The organic content can reach to 100% without any binder.

6）Save energy consumption.
Not need to dry the raw material before granulating because the ideal moisture content is 30–35%. The moisture content reduces 3-5% during granulation process. For example, the moisture of feedstock is 35%, and the moisture of granules output from the granulator will be 30-32%.

7) Running stable, High efficiency, Large productivity.

Working Principle of organic fertilizer granulator KHL-800:

The granulator machine includes two parts, Pellet part and Balling part. The pellet part turns material that fed into the granulator into cylindrical pellets, then the balling part transforms the cylindrical pellets into ball shape granules.

The Pellet part with Ring die and rollers system :
The raw material goes into working chamber and falls on the ‘dump tray’, then thrown into the ring die by centrifugal effect. Ring die and rollers system turning drive by reduction gears & transmission which energy from motor. The pressure come from ring die and rollers system running, cylinder form are forced extrusion from ring die holes, then cut into small pellets as required by cutting line .

Balling parts are six rotation disk :
The pellets fall onto the disk in the drum, thrown onto the wall of drum with circumferential movement by high-speed rotating disk, the granules in a circular motion at the same time also in radial rotation motion due to centrifugal effect. Mutual friction make the granules with edges and corners into balls gradually due to granules’ moving . At this moment, ball pellets gradually floating on the top, final granules overflow along with quantity of granules increased in the drum .
